Lalit Kumar Jain is the Chairman and Managing Director of Kumar Urban Development Limited (KUL), popularly known as Kumar Builders — one of Pune's oldest and most respected real estate development companies. He has held the position of Managing Director since February 3, 2003, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in India's real estate industry.
Affectionately known as the “Green Man of Pune” for his eco-friendly approach to development, he is also referred to as “Mr. Incredible” within industry circles for his contribution to organized housing and real estate reform in India.
Education & Early Career
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He began his career as a supervisor at a Pune-based construction company, where he honed his skills before going on to build Kumar Builders into one of the city's leading real estate brands.

Lalit Kumar Jain has played a central role in shaping India's organized real estate sector through his long association with CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India), where he has been involved since its inception in 1999.

Advocacy & Reform
As a long-serving CREDAI office bearer, he has consistently pushed for transparency in real estate transactions and campaigned for reform across administration, banking, taxation, land policy and industry mindset — positioning himself as one of the more outspoken voices among Indian real estate developers.
He also serves as Director on the boards of several group companies under the Kumar umbrella, including Kumar Housing Corporation Limited, Sinew Developers Limited, Kumar City Club Limited and Sukumar Housing and Finance Private Limited, among others.
